2015-10-29 : Mukta Art's Ltd 33rd Annual General Meeting
Mukta Arts' had its 33rd Annual General Meeting on 28th September '15 and the meeting comprised the company's shareholders and Members of the Board that included — Mr. Subhash Ghai, Chairman of Mukta Arts Ltd; Mr.Rahul Puri, Managing Director, Mukta Arts; Mr. ParvezFarooqui Executive Director;Mr. Kewal Handa, Director; Ms. Paulomi Dhawan, Director; Mr. Ravi Gupta, Advisor; Mr. Prabuddha Das Gupta, Chief Financial Officer and Mr. Ravi B. Poplai, Company Secretary.
The meeting started with Rahul Puri giving all a brief overviewof the performance of the company over the last one year, on the current position of the various subsidiaries of Mukta Arts' that includes Whistling Woods International Ltd, Mukta A2 Cinemas, Connect.1 Ltd and Mukta VN Films Ltd as well as the associate company Maya Digital Studios. He also spoke about the future expansion plans of all its subsidiaries.
After this a Q/A round was held where the shareholders asked the esteemed board questions which were answered by Mr. Ravi Gupta and Mr. Subhash Ghai himself.
Talking on the expansion plans of Mukta Arts Ltd, Rahul Puri said that, "Mukta's growth will come largely from the expansion in Mukta A2 Cinemas, however Film production continues to be our key strength and we will continue to develop new material to create new projects in the coming year".
To add on, Mr. Subhash Ghai said that "Even though the company has suffered losses in the previous few years, we have managed to stay strong in times of crisis because of our values which are — dignity, integrity, transparency and responsibility and these qualities have helped us stay at the top still."
The meeting concluded with a vote of Thanks from the chairman.
